~ Peace and All Good ~
After what feels like an age [but isn't] I have taken the christmas decorations down today. I love them and the atmosphere they bring but this is not a very big house and all that ‘extra stuff’ makes it feel rather cramped. The up-side is that the house now feels HUGE
. As Christmas Day was early in the school holiday this year it feels like we’ve been off for ages and it’s nice to have a full two weeks to enjoy each others company and play with Ethan’s gifts. I am feeling very chilled.
I have been very motivated to tidy and clean this week, premature spring cleaning Si reckons. All net curtains and windows have been washed. The whole house vacuumed to within an inch of it’s life. All beds changed and also matresses vacuumed during the process. Every cat/dog bed washed and tumble dried [helps remove excess hairs if you tumble dry them].
Today I have started filling my new diary for 2013 ~ adding term dates, birthdays and anniversaries, reminders and finally days of religious importance such as Feasts, Solemities etc. Usually I use a catholic liturgical diary with all those special days already printed in, but there is only a choice of one to buy and it doesn’t have enough room for me to write all I need for each day. So this year Santa bought me a Mind, Body & Spirit ~ Book of Days. I’ve used this type of diary before and it’s perfect for me, lots of room to scribble my daily ‘to do’ list with a nice dose of meditative and spiritual ‘food’ thrown in for good measure. I just have to remember to add the liturgical bits each month.
The festive food is nearly all gone thank goodness, oh and I’ve cleaned the fridge just to help things along. We’ve reached the stage where we’re craving fruit and vegetables which is a sure sign that rich food has lost it’s appeal for a while at least. We have so much cheese it’s unbelivable ~ I could start my own cheese shop
.
I am starting work again on the 7th of January. Back to my old job as it happens. As many of you will remember I left back in April’12 for lots of reasons, one of them being to move Ethan to another [catholic] school as he wasn’t happy or thriving where he was. He is now very settled at his new school and we thank God for that ~ it has all worked out very well which is due in no small part to the massive amount of support and care shown to Ethan by the lovely staff there. This leaves me free to work again now he’s sorted and I was very touched to be offered my old job back. It will be lovely to work with people I care about again and I suspect it will be alot less stressful [for me] now that Ethan’s not there. We really do need the money too as our meagre savings won’t last much longer and we’ll probably need a new car this year [boo, hiss]. We will still be growing all our own veg and living ‘The Good Life’ as we’ve loved the frugal lifestyle and going back to the way we lived before is absolutely not an option. I will only be working mornings so will still have time to devote to running out little home.
So it just remains for me to wish you all a very Happy & Blessed New Year for 2013. Wishing you all you wish for yourselves and much more besides. Sending Peace, Love and the Light of Our Dear Lord to shine upon you all.

Peace and God’s abundant blessings to you and yours in the new year!
Thank you for stopping by Saintly Sage and also for your good wishes for the year ahead!! Sharon xx
